Quiet finds for people who make things.

I live beside the world's biggest electronics market. These are the small, well-made things I bring home from it — tested on my own desk, in honest small batches, with a note about why each one earned its place.

Finds of the Week

four things I'd keep even if nobody bought them

the person behind it

Every item is chosen by hand, and I mean that literally.

I grew up around Huaqiangbei, the electronics market where half the world's gadgets are born. My family's industrial business, Fadeya, ships connectors to factories worldwide — and along the way I kept meeting small, wonderful things that nobody was exporting properly.

I buy in small batches from makers I actually know, live with each item for two weeks, and write the honest note myself. If I wouldn't keep it, I don't sell it.

How I pick things
✦

Your desk deserves the same care
as your living room.

We spend the best hours of our day building things — for clients, for bosses, for everyone else. Then we go home to the one corner that's truly ours: a desk, a workbench, a small table by the window.

The tools there don't need to be expensive. They need to be honest — well-made, fairly priced, chosen with care, and gone when the batch is gone.

Make things. Rest well. That's the whole idea.

The Friday Letter

One quiet email every Friday — three new finds, one revived classic, and what's almost gone. No noise.

✓ You're in. See you Friday.
Every item hand-picked, in small batches.
about

Hi, I'm Jana.

Engineer by trade, picker by obsession. I run fudya from Shenzhen, beside the biggest electronics market on earth — and I take the long way home through it, every week.

— 01 —

I live with it first

Every item spends at least two weeks on my own desk before it goes live. If it annoys me, it never makes the shelf.

— 02 —

Small batches, honestly scarce

Thirty to a hundred pieces at a time, straight from the maker. Fresh stock, no dusty inventory — when it's gone, it really is gone.

— 03 —

The note is honest

Each listing says why it's here — and what it's not good for. Flaws included. You deserve the quiet truth.

What fudya promises

Tested before shipped — every unit powered on, not just the first sample.

English guides, written by me — wiring diagrams and starter PDFs, updated from your feedback.

Human replies — you email, I answer, usually within a day.

Fadeya's supply chain, fudya's taste — the same factories and QC behind our industrial brand, pointed at quieter things.

questions

Answered, plainly.

Where do you ship from, and how long does it take?

Everything ships from Shenzhen with a tracking number. Standard lines: Southeast Asia 5–8 days, US 7–12 days, UK 7–11 days, EU 8–14 days, Australia 8–13 days. Express available at checkout. Orders leave within 48 hours, packed by me.

What payment methods do you accept?

PayPal — which also accepts credit and debit cards without a PayPal account. Payment happens entirely on PayPal's secure page; I never see your card details. Bank transfer available for larger orders by email.

Do I have to pay customs duties?

Possibly, depending on your country. Orders are legally declared; import VAT/duty (if any) is collected by your local carrier on delivery. To keep customs simple, no kits include batteries.

What if something arrives broken?

Send a photo within 30 days and I ship a free replacement with your next order — no return to China needed. That's the whole policy.

Can you find something not on the shelf?

That's my backyard. If it exists in the Shenzhen market, I can usually find, test and quote it within 48 hours. Write to [email protected].

Why "fudya"? And how is it related to Fadeya?

fudya is my personal curation; Fadeya is our family's industrial business (connectors, cable assemblies). Same supply chain and QC standards, quieter mood. Fadeya is the serious sibling — fudya is the fun one.

Are the guides really in English?

Written by me, an engineer — tested against the actual unit in the box. If anything is unclear, I fix the guide and you get the updated PDF forever.

Wholesale?

Small wholesale (10+ units) by email. True bulk belongs to Fadeya, which handles factory quantities with export documentation.
